MOTION CAPTURE SERVICES

With state-of-the-art motion capture technology and an expert staff, the CHP has the resources to provide quality motion capture services for any animation production needed for television, commercials, film, virtual reality, or games:

  Our motion capture hardware and software of the real-time Eagle Digital System are developed by Motion Analysis Corporation, who is the undisputed worldwide leader and provider of optical motion capture systems in entertainment, videogames, film, broadcasting, virtual reality, medicine, sports, and research. We maintain a close relationship with Motion Analysis and thus boasts a network of professionals to make any mocap project possible.
 

Our motion capture facility uses the Eagle system to capture markers placed at strategic points on the face, hand, or whole body. A skeleton is defined using the Calcium or Skeleton Builder software, allowing us to streamline the motion solving process. With Motion Analysis's plug-in tools, the motion captured skeleton or markers can be integrated with most popular animation software such as Alias' Maya, Discreet's 3D Studio Max, Softimage's XSI and 3D, and Lightwave's 3D.

The staff at the CHP will work with directors, actors, animators, and programmers throughout the motion capture process. From concept creation to data reduction, the intricate procedures of capturing natural human (or animal) movement are facilitated with the highest technical reliabilty available in a timely manner.
